Open Letter from Ray
When we started on this Spiritually Sparkled journey, we had no real plan other than showing up for our community—the Bronx. We looked around and saw that our people were looking for something that would feed their spirits. As a Bronx-born Latina, mother and entrepreneur, I knew we deserved more, and better. We deserved a place where no matter your religion, your practices or beliefs, you could show up as you; a place where all genders, identities, races and ages were welcome.
We knew we wanted to assist others through their journeys. We knew that our hearts, minds and spirits matter. We knew that through practices like yoga, meditation, reiki and educating our community, we could help like minded individuals connect, build community, and maybe build their own sub communities.
We knew that through providing a safe space close to home and using different sources that everyone could learn from we could bring the community closer to freedom, to love, to an openness that could help us all shift through trauma, through grief, and through the energies all sitting within us. We knew our co creating spaces, the utilization of practices and new age techniques, workshops and various programming would help to foster an intimate environment that would help break the stigmas of self exploration and spirituality.
And now, with COVID creating a new terrain for all small business owners, we know we need your help. We need your help to keep this energy that we’ve helped to create in the Bronx alive and flourishing. We’ve been hit hard by this pandemic. This crisis has forced us to pivot to a digital world. A digital world we are willing to adapt and nurture but cannot outreach to the community we serve and that saw us as a home and safe place to be themselves and explore themselves.
With your support, we want to be able to bring Spiritually Sparkled to masses in a new way. We want to continue to bring you the classes and programs you enjoy: financial literacy, business management, writing workshops, children’s fitness programs, art classes and healing circles. We want to continue to open our community library and entrepreneurial vectors to the community. We want to continue to provide a safe space for all those who have entered our doors, who meet us for the first time digitally, and for those who will enter our doors for the first time after this is over.
Tell your friends how Spiritually Sparkled has helped you and why it matters. We get through this much in the same way we started this journey: together.
The funding will help us maintain in good standing with our business contracts so that we may open our doors when the time comes and to reconstruct and rebuild our space to make it a safe space and adhere to all the new city guidelines alongside programs for our digital audience and our new app that is designed to help small businesses and those who are working from home.
With light all ways, always
